Dear Clear Lake Elementary Students and Families,

I wanted to take a moment to share with you an important transition for our Clear Lake community. As you know, this coming school year will be a completely new experience for us all as we prioritize the safety and wellbeing of our students as we return to learning during the Coronavirus pandemic.

I am excited to announce that this summer I will begin a new role for the district as principal of the new Enhanced Digital and Guided Education (EDGE) online academy.

Although I am sad to leave the students and families I have grown to know during my time here at Clear Lake, I look forward to working with our students and families in a new and exciting learning environment, while continuing to support our educators at Clear Lake and across the district.

While the district is still in the process of identifying a new principal for Clear Lake, I will be continuing to work with our school to refine our plans for reentry to provide a safe, welcoming and robust learning experience for our students this coming school year. As a new principal is announced in the coming weeks, I hope you will join me in welcoming them to our school and supporting them as you have me over the last few years.

I have truly enjoyed my time here at Clear Lake and I wish you all the best in the future.

Esta es la directora Gemmill y quería tomarme un momento para compartir con ustedes una transición importante para nuestra comunidad de Clear Lake. Como saben, este próximo año escolar será una experiencia completamente nueva para todos nosotros, ya que priorizamos la seguridad y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes a medida que regresemos para aprender durante la pandemia del coronavirus.

Me complace anunciar que este verano comenzaré en un nuevo puesto para el distrito como directora de la nueva academia en línea EDGE, que significa Educación Digital Guiada y Mejorada.

Aunque me entristece dejar a los estudiantes y las familias que conocí durante mi tiempo aquí en Clear Lake, espero trabajar con nuestros estudiantes y familias en un ambiente de aprendizaje nuevo y emocionante, mientras continúo apoyando a nuestros educadores en Clear Lake y en todo el distrito.

Mientras el distrito aún está en el proceso de identificar un nuevo director para Clear Lake, continuaré trabajando con nuestra escuela para refinar nuestros planes de reingreso para proporcionar una experiencia de aprendizaje segura, acogedora y sólida para nuestros estudiantes este próximo año escolar. Cuando se anuncie un nuevo director en las próximas semanas, espero que me acompañen para darle la bienvenida a nuestra escuela y apoyarle como lo han hecho conmigo en los últimos años.

Realmente he disfrutado mi tiempo aquí en Clear Lake y les deseo lo mejor en el futuro.
